1st year of Med School complete!!!

Ryan is standing proud, as he should be, he conquered his first year of Medical School and passed with flying colors! It was a grueling process for him, but as you can see he is still standing on both feet...he survived! Although he did suffer from an ongoing aneurysm, chest pains, and on occasion loss of consciousness (due to sleep deprivation!)he managed to pull through. The funny thing is that these symptoms would only pop up right around test time...hmmm kinda suspicious. But the doctor knows best, right!? That's when I remind him he's not a doctor yet and he shouldn't try to self diagnose!
What a crazy year though. Besides having Med School on his plate he had to deal with prego me, Emmet, the birth of Weston ( I know he missed it, but it adds to the stress level!), traveling across the country back and forth and back again! Whew! He deserves a break from all that! But what a stud for handling everything so calmly and doing so well under pressure! Proof to me that he has what it takes to be an awesome doc. I'm so proud of him for completing his 1st year...I knew he would, but it's so nice to actually be able to say it and know that he is one step closer to M.D. status. And not only did he just pass he did AMAZINGLY well in all his classes. Not an easy task...we've seen LOTS of students flunk out or drop out this early in the game! Way to go babe! So now we have 3 weeks to be together as a family. We'll be sure to keep you updated on all our fun outings now that we don't have to worry about yucky 'ole school!

Cruisin'

...for a bruisin'...JUST KIDDING!
A couple of our friends here are leaving the island and gave us a bunch of water toys, baby stuff, and even some printers! They have a few little ones and had lots of things for our boys to enjoy. So nice of them :) When Emmet saw this car he bolted for it and was posing for the camera. I missed it but Ryan captured these cute shots. Good job babe! I was impressed he was actually cooperating for him. Well, he always avoids the camera but lately he is such a little monster! He's into everything he knows he shouldn't be...and if you're wondering how I know this it's because he WAITS for me to catch him doing something naughty then repeatedly does it. All with a huge grin on his face. I'm not even sure how to go about disciplining him...if we are stern with him he just laughs and runs off...it's hard not to crack a smile sometimes, but he is so ORNERY! I'm trying to figure out a place for him to have time-outs...there's really no where in this house because he loves it here. He has such a big imagination he could have fun rolling a piece of lint between his fingers in a corner! I'm not kidding! But back to Emmet's photos...he sure LOOKS sweet!!! Hahaha! I'll keep you posted on the disciplining...little turkey!

Fun with Dad :)

Weston is showing more and more personality all the time. He is laughing all the time and loves to be in the air or anywhere high, for that matter! We had to take pictures because he was making the funniest faces and of course he is always bursting at the seams with smiles! We love to just chew on his tubby little cheeks all day! He is our little ray of sunshine :)

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is my birthday! Yay! To celebrate we went out to lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. It's such a fun place and the food is so great! We especially love the atmosphere because it's really fast paced and fun. Emmet loves to bob his head to the music and it's just loud enough that it drowns out our kids tantrums, so we never have to feel embarrassed for being the loudest ones there...no one can even hear them! I think Emmet had the most fun on our outing though. He spent the whole lunch coloring (and eating the crayons!), munching on good food, and FLIRTING! There were two girls behind us having lunch that he stared at the entire time (blank expression) and then there was this super cute little girl (about Emmet's age). These two waved and "talked" back and forth the whole meal. So cute. Weston, as always, was just happy to be there. Thank goodness for that sweet little guy!
Afterwards we were going to go take in the sites but the little ones were too tired. But we did get Emmet a super cute Hard Rock Cafe shirt! Later the boys all made me a really sweet heart cake, got me a couple of lipglosses (they know me so well!) and made my birthday complete! Thanks boys for making my day so special! I love you all!

My sweet mother-in-law got me this pretty necklace and earrings! I love them and was so excited to finally wear them (kind of hard to see)!

Smile!

I can't get Emmet to look at the camera to save my life! He was pretty engrossed in his coloring.

Weston was so happy to be in the shade and out of the hot 95 degree weather! We were all sweating!

The party. Em and Wes weren't too excited for the cake. Poor kids were ready for bed...

My family sent me this really cute Barbie birthday card and attatched was this cut-out crown. I wore this just for you guys!

My BEAUTIFUL cake from "Designs by Ryan."

I had a great day...so great that I may wear my crown to bed! Long live the "Sparkle Queen!"

4 months old....already!?

This little guy is pretty excited about being 4 months old (today). Actually, he is pretty excited for just about anything! Weston is still such a sweet baby, although he is demanding more and more attention! He must be learning that if he wants to be noticed he has to speak up. He learned that from his older brother, I'm sure. Me and Ryan are having a lot of fun with this whole parenting thing. The catch phrases are really fun to say. I don't know how many times I've heard Ryan say: "Emmet, your grounded!" and today I told Emmet to "be a good example to his younger brother"...haha! But, back to Weston :)
Wes is getting so good with his toys. His coordination is improving everyday. He's ALMOST rolling over and he can even get up on his knees! He's discovered both his hands and feet and constantly tries to pull them off! Those things really frustrate him! The last few nights he has gone 6 or 7 hours without a feeding (I know I just jinxed myself) and is still an early riser...ugh. I've gotten him to get up at about 6:30 now instead of 5, atleast. So I'm slowly making progress there! If I could just get him to take a nap longer than 30 minutes! Emmet has some part in that! All in all things are going great with Wes. He's getting more and more personality all the time! He has shots this next week and I'm really curious to see how much this guy weighs...he is a tank!

Wes loves to sit up. This bumbo is his favorite! I'm so glad we brought it with us! Thanks for getting it for us mom, it's a life saver!
