Oh! There's mom!

I know, I know...I've been M.M.I.A (Mom missing in action). I've had a few complaints that I'm not in any of the pictures (thanks for wanting to see me...haha) so today Ryan MADE me take some pictures with the boys. He's been on my case for quite some time, but I will agree I want more pictures of me and my boys because I want them to know they loved being with their mom too! This mom is just as much fun as dad!

Ok, so me and Ry busted up laughing when we saw this picture. I'm trying to get kisses from Em and Ry is snapping away and then there's Wes...smiling for no apparent reason. This just shows how good natured he is.

I LOVE when Emmet will snuggle with me...he's usually too busy being a big boy!

7 random facts...

Steph tagged me...so here it goes.....

1. Since there are no malls here sometimes I "shop" online and fill my "basket" with the fun clothes I wish I could get and wear. Especially the fall clothes. Fall clothes are the cutest and it's something different from the summer wardrobe here. Then I wake up and realize I have no money and I'm wasting my time...haha...a girl can dream!

2. I have an obsession with eyebrows. I'm not sure exactly why, but I love them. Maybe because mine are so dark and prominent that I want to have them perfect. I find myself looking at everyones eyebrows. I'm always trying to get mine to be the perfect shape...it's a work in progress...aren't they always. You get them perfect then they grow back! Wierd, I know.

3. I am so NOT a morning person. I'm not a night person either. Is there a mid-day person? That would be me! Poor Ryan is always having to put up with me being so grumpy in the mornings because we are always up by 6:30 with the boys. It's so funny too because Emmet is not a morning person either until he gets his milk and oatmeal in his system...after that it's smooth sailing for him. Weston on the other hand is a happy go lucky, wake up at 5 in the mornings type...ughhh. Luckily Ryan is the same way! We always joke that Emmet looks like Ryan but acts like me and Weston looks like me and acts like Ryan (got that?).

4. My favorite sound in the whole world are both my boys sleeping. Not just the solitude I have, but it's just so sweet to look and listen to them breathe. It's the most precious and peaceful sound in the world. If heaven had a sound that would be it.

5. I am the most impatient person you will ever meet...just ask my husband. He has nicknamed me "Firecracker" for being so impatient and fiesty. I wish I was more patient...I'm trying!

6. I LOVE to make all sorts of fun and pretty desserts, but I spend so much time making them absolutely perfect that afterwards I can't bring myself to eat them. It's almost like a work of art and I want everyone else to partake in the goodness while I enjoy them enjoying my art. The longer I spend on a dish the more less likely I am to eat it!

7. I am a list junkie...I make lists for everything and then rewrite them until they are perfect. Like handwriting, categories, descriptions...I have no idea when this started or why!?

Typical day...

I love this video because it's just so typical of my day. Emmet playing and being silly then out of nowhere running up to Weston to start loving on him. Lately he is only wanting to give kisses on the mouth, so sorry Wes that includes you! I know I've said this before, but I SWEAR my house isn't always a huge dump. We just let Emmet do what he pleases as long as he's safe. Needless to say he is into everything and everything is strewn across the living room. His newest toy is this huge box of fruitsnacks Ry picked up for him today. Yesterday it was a huge pack of papertowels that you can see he's strategically placed in the background! Oh, well...:)

Milk!

A few days ago my mom sent me a fun package full of birthday stuff for me and some cute pj's and sippy cups for the boys. Emmet had on his super cute bug pj's and was trying out his new sippy cup...by the way mom he LOVES it. He drinks so much more milk with this cup. Must be the straw...picky little guy! Anyway, we were chasing eachother around the house and I would hide and sneak up on him. Well, I guess he thought I was being pretty funny because he took a big drink of milk and when I jumped out to get him he snorted and blew milk out his nose!!! He was laughing hysterically...oh my word. I have never seen that actually happen! I haven't laughed that hard for a LONG time! I was so sad that Ryan missed it all he heard was both of us cracking up. So I thought he had no idea what had happened and then he pointed at Emmet and he still had the milk running down his nose. I was so happy to get a picture of his face...I'm laughing just thinking about it :)

Blanket buds


Ryan is outnumbered...but loving the time away from school and studying!

All of the sudden Wes is a tummy time champ. Usually he just lays his head to the side and relaxes, but today he lifted his head right up and was looking around like he's been doing it forever! I was so proud of him. Last week he started grabbing his toys and he even rolled over...ok that was an accident...he threw his little head off balance! Haha! But he is getting so big, so fast! I'm excited, but also so sad :( I wish I could freeze time...well, sometimes :)

Rolly-polly, no way. Wes is buff. Seriously, we have a hard time holding him because he lunges out of your arms. Between him and Em we have a couple of power lifters!

Twin day/St. Patty's Day

I'm not really sure what St. Patricks' Day is all about(other than I know Irish people go drink at the pub or something)...so I made my own version of the holiday. Twin day! Yes, I'm that corny mom that dresses her kids alike or coordinates outfit colors. I never thought I would be....but I am! Plus, my kids are basically twins anyway. Shortly after having Weston people told me that they were "Irish twins"...must be kids born in the same year(and I'm sure it's meant to be some kind of rude joke, but like I care! We couldn't be happier!). So that was kind of my inspiration for my take on St. Patty's this year. It was funny for me and yet another excuse to take pictures of my boys together!

This is Weston. All day, everyday. He's SO happy all the time. I love it :)

More kisses. At this point I had to peel Emmet off of poor Wes. His face was dripping with his slobber. Haha!

No girls allowed....

The other day all the boys were playing on the ground together and of course being the camera happy mom that I am, I had to take some pics. My boys are so cute. Oh, and if you're wondering why all the boxes in the background of ALL the pics. Emmet LOVES to play with boxes so we keep them for him. Just wanted to make sure that no one thinks we live in our trash! Haha!

Little kisses :)

Today Emmet would come up to Weston all on his own and give him kisses on the back of his fuzzy head, then he would make the cutest scrunched up face because it tickled his little nose. I think he knew he was being cute because he did it ALL day. Either that or he really loves to be around Wes. We took this video of him to show what a good big brother he is...what a sweetheart :) And I'm so proud of him for being so gentle with him. He is finally getting the concept that he has to be soft and nice.

Rockin' out!

Today Ryan downloaded the soundtrack to "Hannah Montana" and Emmet had a blast dancing to it. He immediately ran into the kitchen where the music was playing and started tapping that foot and bobbing his head! It was so funny! As soon as you turn the music off he starts pouting. So, back on it goes and the laughter begins!!! P.s. Yes, that is a powder brush in his hands...he loves to dust the house with it...I'm telling you he's going to be a C.S.I!

Tonight I was walking to the kitchen and saw this nasty baby lizard scurrying across the floor. So, I grabbed the closest thing to me and trapped it (that tupperware is now in the trash...yuck!). We thought it would be funny to see Emmet's reaction. He thought it was the coolest thing. He wanted to touch it so bad!. What a boy! I'm still so grossed out!

Emmet loves to watch Baby Einstein. We love to watch him watch his movies because he gets SO excited. He has to point at everything and show us what he likes. Too cute! Kids are great entertainment!

Emmet LOVES his little brother so much. He is always wanting to share his snacks and drinks with him. Lately when he runs by him he stops and rubs his head...what a nerd. It's pretty funny though!

3 months old!!!

Weston is already 3 months old! I can't believe it. Time has been flying by with these two monkeys! Most days I don't get a break and I'm constantly entertaining boys, but I LOVE LOVE being a mom. I know I've said it a million times, but Weston is seriously the sweetest baby, ever. He rarely cries and is so laid back and happy. He is such a good eater too. I guess that's why he's already over 15 lbs! What a tub! There's just something so angelic about his personality. He just exudes love. I can't even explain it. It's just this feeling I get when I look at him. It's really hard having two babies so close together, but now that he's here and I'm in the swing of things I couldn't feel more blessed. Emmet is such a good older brother, too. He's never jealous or mean to Wes. I can tell he really loves him and knows that he's part of his family. Yes, he constantly wakes him up from naps yelling and running around the house but he's always wanting to give him kisses or just look at him. Yesterday was the sweetest thing ever. Weston was just cooing and talking and Emmet wanted up on my lap to see what was going on. Well, Wes caught a glimpse of Emmet looking at him and gave him the biggest gummiest grin! Emmet immediately got a huge smile on his face and for a few seconds they just held each others gaze smiling at eachother....instantly brought tears to my eyes. What a mom...I know. I just know that Wes was meant to be here with us and that the four of us were all supposed to be together. Moments like those make all the tough times worth it.

I thought it would be fun to try and find similar photos of my two boys to compare. I couldn't find very similar expressions...but they are exactly the same age in these pics. Do you see any similarities in the two???

Study buddies

It's a big week for Ryan. Block exams!!! He has been dutifully studying day and night. Poor guy is running on 2 hours of sleep a day and I know he's ready for this week to be over. Lucky for him he has a great study partner! Emmet and his dad have this bond...it's adorable. Wherever Ryan is...you'll find Emmet. Emmet had just woken up from his nap and wanted to hang out with dad, but he was too busy. So I had the bright idea of sitting him next to him with his own "project" aka snacks! He loved it! He sat there and was such a good boy for almost an hour. Just talking to Ryan and enjoying his fruit loops. He loves to feel big...

What a grown boy to just sit there and eat his snacks...he even shared with his dad :)
