Getting bigger!!!

I am now 28 1/2 weeks along! Today Ryan, Emmet, and I went to my first doctors appointment here in Cayman. I really didn't know what to expect, but it all turned out wonderful. Our doctors name is Dr. De Alwis and he is awesome! We loved him instantly. It was so cool to see how things are done outside the U.S. For starters every appointment you have an ultrasound to check on the baby and the doc actually does it himself! It was so fun to see little Weston moving around again. He has gotten so big and luckily he is doing perfect! Whew! Also, since there aren't as many pregnant women on the Island as in the states they make you feel so important and really listen to you. Our doctor is so down to earth and crazy smart. I guess he taught at London University for quite some time. It was funny to listen to him talk...he told us his family came from Sri Lanka but he actually grew up in London. So he has an indian/english accent. Hahaha! Anyhow, I thought I would post a pic of myself because I know my mom has been hounding me to take one....I avoided it as long as possible, but I thought everyone else would be a little curious as well!

Daddy's clone

If you've ever wondered what Emmet looks like without his fuzzy head, here you go! Ryan and I think that this is when he looks especially like his dad's little twin! Emmet is getting to be more and more like his dad, I swear! They even sleep in the same positions. You have to see it to believe it, it's the sweetest thing :)

Here's the maniac in the tub splashing away...as you can tell he is still the same water baby! Now that I'm getting bigger (pregnant, that is!) Ryan has taken over bath duty. Emmet is such a crazy baby in the tub either one of us can keep a good hold on him. Most of the time Ryan has to be halfway in the tub to insure that Emmet doesn't drown because he literally dives face first into the water. Nothing scares this boy....which scares me!

Mini Ryan ;)

Peek-a-boo :)

This is me and Emmet's game we play. He thinks its the most hilarious thing when I throw a blanket over his head and say "where's Emmet?" He waves his arms like mad trying to get out to see me :) Then I act like it's our private little fort and we tell pretend secrets under the blanket...or so I pretend...either way he laughs hysterically!

Emmet the ghost trying to get free!

New car!

We FINALLY got a car! Yay! It's a '95 silver honda accord. It's so nice to be able to get around when we need to. Especially with me being pregnant and having so many doctor appointments! It was such a hassle to get a license, insurance, and do a transfer of the title though! We are definitely glad that part is over! When you are in a foreign country everything seems to take 10 times longer and be 10 times harder! I haven't gotten the nerve up to drive yet, but Ryan is doing a great job. On our way home from the DMV I know both of our heads were spinning because it's just so complicated and unnatural feeling! The only difference between Ryan and I was that I know I would have pulled over atleast 5 times to bawl hysterically and Ryan just grumbled under his breath! Hahaha! I know it's all going to take some getting used to!

Emmet's teeth have grown in so much more. I thought I'd show everyone now that you can really see them. I got a little excited before, haha!

When Ryan saw Emmet watching the pre-game show for sunday night football he just had to take a picture! He is so proud of his little man for already being a sports fan. I know Ryan's already gearing up for some future WSU games!

Silly boy :)

One of Emmet's new tricks is sticking out his tongue. He has a fascination with that and teeth. He's always trying to stick his little chubby hands in our mouth to see our teeth and tongues :)

This is how Emmet watches TV. He just crawls over, climbs up, and watches. So funny. He LOVES Spongebob, The backyardigans, and Dora. Plus anything with music. He stops dead in his tracks and watches anything that has a good beat to it. I don't know where he learns these things!

New toy!

I think this is Emmet's fake smile! Hahaha! I died laughing when I saw his little mug!

Since we could only pack what we could fit into 4 suitcases, we had to sell or leave behind lots or our things. Toys being one of them. Cousins Conner and Nathan are taking care of those for us until we get back :) We could only fit soft "baby" toys to bring with us. Emmet thinks he's a little man already and he wants nothing to do with those silly toys. So I had to buy him something to challenge him. I found this cool toy at a place called "Little Darlings" down the road from us. He LOVES this toy. He's already pulling himself up to it and playing like a mad man pounding and yelling at the top of his lungs! I hope it will stand up to his beatings, if not little Wes will be disappointed when he's old enough to play!
