20 1/2 lbs of cute!

Last week Wes got his 6 month shots (we're a little behind!) and he did so good! He only cried for a minute and he was such a great baby the rest of the day. What a tough little nut. He only had to have two shots instead of the usual four because they combine more of the vaccines here...which is super nice for us and our little guy! So he doesn't have to have any more shots until he's one! Hooray! But get this...Wes is 20 1/2 lbs!!! What a little tub, haha :) He's also now 27 inches and is seriously gaining on poor Emmet. Em is still only about 24 or so lbs. And the best news...Wes is now finally sleeping at night! Whew! What a relief! He finally figured out that if he rolls over on his tummy it's pretty cozy and he can go to sleep all by himself. We're also to the point where we can pretty much lay him down for naps when he's drowsy and he'll talk himself to sleep. That is pretty exciting too. It's so cute because I'll go peak at him after it gets quiet and he's always in the stink bug position...I love it :) He's getting to be such a big boy, I can't believe it. I'm pretty proud of us this kid around because things are alot different. Emmet slept in our bed on and off and Wes has been in his bed from the beginning...you live and learn...it's kind of embarrassing to admit now! But one thing is for sure...everyone sleeping in their own beds makes for a much happier home because everyone gets a break! Way to go Wes for catching on so quick!


Wes is one ticklish little guy...he's starting to make the same faces as Emmet :) ...And yes they BOTH still snort...haha. Those darn small nose holes!

Life of a 18 & 7 month old!

I cannot believe how big my babies are getting. It's so fun to watch them grow and learn, but at the same time it's so sad because it's going too fast :( We are having the best time as a family. It was fun having one little guy but with two it just feels like a bigger more complete package. These two have already bonded. The proof is in the photos! I swear we didn't pose them! Wes was playing with Em's new car book and Emmet crawled up beside him and they just looked at it together. It was the cutest thing. I also wanted to give a update on what each small fry is up to these days...they are growing like weeds so I have to keep track even for myself!

Emmet
This goof is getting funnier and funnier all the time. He has the biggest imagination and is always coming up with new games and ways to tease us. He is also talking all the time now...in his own jibberish language, but he is learning lots of words and some funny two word phrases. He is obsessed with Baby Einstein and can say lots of animals and make their noises...it's so cute. And he is such a copycat now. Today he learned "tickle tickle" and how to tickle. Whenever I would change Weston's diaper he would come up and say "liddle liddle" (his version of "tickle tickle") and tickle him up by his neck...such a cutie. When something is yummy he'll rub his tummy and say "num num" and after he takes a drink from his sippy he'll let out a huge "AHHHH!" like it was the most refreshing drink ever! What a nerd!
His favorite hobby is cars, cars, cars...it's almost ridiculous! All day he'll push his cars around and line them up all over the house. It's to the point that when he sees a car on tv he'll run up to it and grab at it frantically and whine because he wants it SOOOO bad! He LOVES chicken, mac n cheese, apple juice, and cookies. He is an awesome nap taker (usually one 2-3 hour nap) and sleeps all through the night without a peep. He's really independent and pretty much entertains himself all day. I'm one lucky mom!

Weston
This boy is growing up SO fast. It must just be the fact that I have two so time just goes more quickly...I don't know! Weston is still the sweetie he has always been. He's such a good boy all day. He is rolling all over the house and is pretty darn near crawling. He loves his baby food, balls (he goes nuts when he sees one!), sitting up, and playing patty cake. Wes is so giggly and good natured and just kind of goes with the flow. This is so nice because we can pretty much go anywhere or do anything as long as his little tummy is full! He is still a horrible nap taker...he takes about three 30 minute naps a day. If we get lucky we'll get an hour one in there. He is now sleeping absolutely awful at night...I give up on that one. He just rolls over on his belly and is wide awake...I don't get it!!! He doesn't want to eat or anything...he'll do this atleast 3 times a night. I'm hoping this will pass soon!!! I'm running on 4-6 hours of REALLY broken sleep. On a better note he is starting to give baby kisses...I LOVE IT! Those open mouth slobbery kisses are the sweetest. Emmet and Wes are always kissing, it's too funny.

I think Wes is starting to suck his thumb. This kind of started out of nowhere, but I catch him like this quite a bit at night. Maybe teething? Or maybe a new little habit? He must've got that from his mom! Hopefully he'll be easier to break then I was:) Oh, and check out that grumpy face! He is starting to yell and throw fits when he gets mad or frustrated. Here he was just grumpy and ready for bed!

Yay, for getting bigger and getting to do more fun things!!!

1st family movie and some fun in the water...

Today we decided to take the boys to their very 1st movie (Emmet actually had his 1st movie with his Grandma Moberg...she's pretty brave :) but it's his 1st with us! ) and of course we chose to see Wall-E! Ryan has been talking about taking Emmet to a movie for a few weeks now, so I wasn't sure who was more excited...him or Emmet!? They just built a brand new theatre complex down the road from us and it was SO nice. There were lots of cute little shops and a fun restaurant we plan on trying out sometime in the near future. They also had this really fun mini splash park that lots of kids love to splash around in. Emmet LOVED the movie and did really well...I was pretty surprised. He talked through the whole thing saying: "what's that!!" (slurred of course. It sounds more like those old budweiser commercials...Wassssup! Hahaha!) and "WHOA." We call Emmet Wall-E because everything is "WOW" or "WHOA!" Weston was a champ too. He just sat on our laps the whole time, drank his bottle, took about an hour nap, and barely a peep out of him. I was in heaven. We could've never taken Emmet to a movie at that age. I couldn't even get him to sit on my lap for 5 minutes! Emmet ate lots of popcorn and had lots of orange pop ( I know, I know...bad mom. But I swear I brushed his teeth really well after!!!) Afterwards we went back out and let Em splash around in the water...he had a blast :) It was the only way we could get him to burn off all that excess energy from sitting for almost 2 hours, so it was much needed!

I brought this sippy cup for Emmet, but Wes ended up drinking it! I guess he can drink from a sippy cup? Who knew!? He is pretty strong too. That thing was filled to the brim with ice water and he could hold it all by himself!

Here's Em splashing around. He didn't run right up to it so I thought he might be scared of it...until he got one hand wet! Then he just lunged in and started splashing like crazy! He seriously is the biggest water bug. He was drinking it (Ewww...I know. He wouldn't stop) and even dunking his face in it!

"WHOA!!!" As Emmet would say...haha. This wasn't his favorite thing!



Starting to shiver...time to go! Even as he was shaking cold he still wouldn't get out of the water...I had to drag him out! We'll come back soon!

Good morning!

This is the first thing I see every morning and it ALWAYS cracks me up :) Just two little eyes and a fuzzy head...ahhh, I love it. I just had to share :)

These two are so cute together. They are never short on "loves" for eachother...or us :) Emmet still runs up and gives random kisses and snuggles. It's funny because now Wes is trying to give him kisses too. Now that Emmet is getting older and is understanding more he's pretty good about being soft with his brother...Wes on the other hand is getting really curious and is starting to pull hair and scratch at faces...so the tables have turned and we have to watch him so he doesn't gauge Emmet's eyes out! We told Emmet he'd get it back one day! Haha :)

What a talker

Wes has been babbling like crazy lately. It's so funny to hear his little voice and man is he loud! I hear this all day, along with his tarzan yells and random outbursts. In the morning he wakes up the whole house with his chattering...it's hilarious (except for the fact that it's 5 in the morning!). He's also been "chewing" or "gumming" lately...I think he may be getting some little teeth soon!
