Hurricane Paloma

As you guys have now learned, Hurricane Paloma is set to punch the Cayman Islands in the face this evening. It is estimated to be either a Category 1 or 2 when it reaches the Cayman Islands. The even more disappointing aspect of it, is that my parents are here visiting us this week, and are therefor trapped here with us. April and our two boys were suppose to fly back to Washington with my parents this Saturday, but now have to wait until Monday to fly out, due to the airport shutting down.

Word from the Cayman Island Government, is that we should expect 4-6 feet of storm surge, along with 30-40 foot waves!!! I could be wrong, but it doesn't help any that our condo is 20-30 yards from the OCEAN!!!

This should be an eventful night, but we are prepared. Having my parents here with us definitely helps, and makes this process of weathering a Hurricane that much more comfortable. Its just too bad that my parents had to visit us right before a Hurricane smacks us. Its pretty much been dumping rain for the past 4 days!

We will keep everyone posted. Stay Tuned!!!

P.S. I would also like to add one IMPORTANT statement! My PARENTS are completely delusional when it comes to Hurricanes :) They are thrilled about this Hurricane, and have actually spent a lot of time today strolling the beach, while 85 mph winds smack them, along with a billion gallons of rain hitting them. We'll see who's laughing when 1am rolls around and this Hurricane reaches us full storm.

I do have to admit though..... I am actually 5 seconds away...... from going outside and having April videotape me while I do an Al Roker impersonation. LOL....

Hello Muscles!!! (and funny pics from Dad)

Ummm.... yeah.... so apparently nobody warned me that my wife would reach a stage in her life where her biceps will become larger than MINE.... basically overnight!!! LOL.....Note to self.... "no more talking back to my wife". I guess lifting two boys on a daily basis has its benefits. LOL....

P.S.... doesn't April look good! There's no way she's had two kids! Major props Snugs!!!

P.P.S..... yes everybody, that is a war zone of toys that you see in the background. This is what you call "Keeping it Real". I'm not afraid to show what our place "REALLY" looks like on a daily basis... LOL...We have two Black Belt Ninja's who ALSO just happen to be under the age of two, and I might add.....are Carnivores..... so this just comes with the territory.....

Every night I get home from class around 5pm, then we immediately go out to the beach until the sun goes down. This is a perfect pic of Weston and his hot mom waving to me while we hung out at the beach... Definitely sums up Weston and April's fun/outgoing personalities.

Emmet and I have always been best pals, and so I'm glad April was able to snap this pic of us before Emmet realized it and ran for the opposite end of the beach. He's too manly to smile for pics these days...... LOL...

Here's another hilarious pic of Emmet and Weston. Emmet was playing with Weston and squeezing his cheeks together while both of them were busting up laughing. These guys are best pals, and pretty much play with each other all day like this.

Just like Emmet..... Weston thinks that I am a Professional Wrestler..... All I have to do is lie on the ground, and IMMEDIATELY Weston will turn into a Ware Wolf and attack me with little or no restraint to the point that I fear for my life. But.... in the end, my "Tickle Hand" always prevails, and I eventually make him beg for his mother.... WHOOAAAA HAHAHAHAHAHA (evil laugh)

Apparently..... you don't need toast or pancake for butter to taste good. LOL.... He definitely didn't get this one from me.... Apparently April use to eat butter by the spoonful.... LOL.... When April took away the bin of butter, Emmet actually grabbed the lid and licked it dry.... LOL....

Rowdy boys!

After a full day of being with mom, "the girl" in the house, the boys are so excited for dad to be home. It's the cutest thing...as soon as Ryan steps foot through the door Emmet yells "Dada!" and they both come running (Wes galloping/crawling) to the door to climb all over him. After that it turns into a full on wrestling match. With lots of tickle torture from dad! I'm just relieved that we found this awesome mat at one of the the shops here because these tile floors are not kid friendly and these boys get pretty darn rowdy! Boys will be boys though...gotta love them!

Emmet's sunday night football

My two boys watching 'sunday night football' and eating popcorn (Wes had already hit the hay). Such boys ;) Then there's mom bugging them with the non-stop picture taking. Try not being SO cute boys...then MAYBE I'll leave you to watch your football in peace (not likely)!

Emmet looks so adorable in his pj's and he's getting quite the tan. He's such a handsome little guy!

Absolutely priceless :)

Can you tell this is Ryan's kid or what!? Raising the roof, while Ry flashes his legendary 'yeah buddy' sign!

Our sweet 10 month old

I know I say this all the time but I really don't know how I have another toddler all of the sudden. In two months Wes will be ONE years old! This last month Wes has gotten so funny and is really loving learning how to cruise around the furniture. He's not walking yet and I'm really surprised. I know any second he'll be taking that first step! I can't wait for that day because he gets so frustrated with crawling when he wants to get somewhere faster...usually chasing after Emmet. Wes is STILL the sweetest baby in the world. I have the loviest, cuddliest, and snuggliest baby ever and I LOVE it! He is such a baby and loves to be loved on....and I LOVE that! Emmet wasn't so cuddly (mainly because he wanted to be a big boy so fast), so I'm really enjoying all the extra snuggles. Plus as a bonus whenever Wes crawls up on my lap Emmet comes up to snuggle too...he can't be left out! Haha! But I love all the "loves" I can get and I'm definitely not complaining! Wes still loves to eat (obviously...look at those tubby cheeks!) and it's so funny to have to bring snacks out for two instead of one. I don't dare bring Emmet juice and crackers without bringing Weston any! He throws the biggest fit and chases Emmet around the house trying to steal his snack and drink! Poor Emmet is always trying to play and eat in peace and constantly has to relocate because he doesn't dare leave any of his goodies unattended! Haha! It is pretty funny to watch though! Weston is learning lots of new things. He can dance when you tell him to and clap his hands. He can even say "hi" in his little gruff voice :) We're working on waving and he'll do it once in awhile....Emmet is always trying to help me teach him and shows him over and over how to clap and wave. Too cute :) I got really lucky having such a great baby...until night rolls around, that is!!! Weston has never really been a great sleeper...even as a newborn. He screams, not cries (I'm talking blood curdling, horror movie style!!!)...and is usually unconsoleable! It's been going on (the worst of it) for about 2 months and I feel like a sleep deprived zombie! We ALL do really because his screams are so loud they wake up the whole household! Ryan and I are pretty convinced our neighbors think we torture our kids. It's horrible and pretty embarrassing! I've tried just about everything to change things....so we just have to let him cry. So, sorry Weston...we love you though :( I'm not too bummed about nights though (MOST nights...haha!) because during the day he is an absolute angel. I guess he had to be challenging somehow. I will say I've never seen such a bullheaded little guy! Poor kid didn't have a chance though with me and Ryan being his parents! Hope you enjoy the pictures...they really do capture his sweet little spirit :) I can't wait for two more months to pass by though so we can bring him home to our families and let them get to know him and chew on his sweet little cheeks. He's been on this island practically his whole life, not that he's complaining! These boys LOVE the water and just being in onesies! What a life!

He looks so chunky in this pic...I don't know why....he only weighs 22 lbs or so! ...And look at those cute teeth! 4 big ones!

Chasing down mom!

LOVES his own reflection!

The BEST big brother :)

G'ma & G'pa Sainsbury come to visit!!!

I'm so excited to post that we finally had some family come visit us. It has been nearly 10 months since we've seen any one from back home and it was a welcome change! My mom and dad flew in last saturday, stayed the week, then flew back all day yesterday. I think they finally realized just how far away from home we are. It is one LONG day of flights... to say the least! We had a lot fun during their stay. Emmet and Weston warmed right up to them and became instant buds, especially my dad and Emmet. They really soaked up the island life while they were here and it was fun to see my dad so carefree and relaxed :) I know he needed a break...but I'm not going to let him off the hook for not wearing sunscreen and laying out on the beach all day...EVERYDAY! You too mom!!! And who doesn't love to have their mom around...it just makes you feel at home :) It was fun to hang out, eat lots of yummy food, and just enjoy everyones company. We sure miss them already and the house is a little too quiet around here. It was sad to say goodbye...especially since they got to have a real bond with the boys :( Not too long though and we'll be home for Christmas! Thanks for visiting us mom and dad...we love and miss you guys TONS and TONS :)

Eating lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Wes with some WILD hair :) Look at those buck teeth...I love them! Haha!

Emmet LOVES my dad...just not sitting still for pictures!

This picture totally captures Emmet's personality...such a goof!

Beach Bums

My mom and dad made it all the way to the Cayman Islands! They made it safely here saturday afternoon and have been soaking up the sun ever since. They are having a ball with the boys and are already natives to the island. I'll post more later but just wanted to say "yay!" we have family here with us after about 10 months of solitude :)
