Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we went to visit the pumpkin patch here in Tulsa! Another first for our boys! How I missed the fun of holidays in the U.S. while we were living in the Cayman Islands! They had a really cute set up with pumpkins, playhouses, backdrops for photos, blow up bouncy houses, and of course hay rides! We spent about 2 hours there and the boys had a ball! It was the perfect fall day...sunny and crisp! I'm pretty sure we'll be going back again soon! I LOVE the holidays!

Daddy and Emmet going to pick out a pumpkin!

It was funny Weston was trying to pick up all these HUGE pumpkins! No success :(

Em and Wes working on a car...probably one of the only pictures I got of them together! They always go off in different directions at a 100 mph!

What would a visit to the pumpkin patch be without tasting some of the pumpkins!

Silly Wes...he eats EVERYTHING!

Emmet gave the place two thumbs up!

Out of all the pumpkins this is the one that Emmet decided to take home! Haha! He was so excited about it, he even slept with it that night....and the next night! What a nut :)

What a fun afternoon with my handsome boys!

Tulsa State Fair

Last week we went to the Tulsa State Fair and had so much fun! It was both our boys first time to go to a fair (lots of firsts this year since we were living out of the country the last 2 years) and they were in awe of all the lights and crazy people! We let them in on the full experience with yummy (bad for you...but oh so good) food and rides! Emmet was a little leery of getting on his first ride, but thankfully we ran into our good friends and their little Bella was such a sweetheart to ride with him! After that he was hooked and would've stayed their ALL night riding if we would have let him! Poor Wes was too small to go on any rides but he had a blast running around looking at all the different gaming booths and rides. I have to say this was the most fun I've had at a fair in a while. I'm not really into rides anymore...I usually just end up with a headache (sad..I'm getting old!)! But seeing the sheer joy on Emmet's face looking at everything and riding on rides made both Ryan and I's night! Oh, to be a kid again!

Our family at the fair (Thanks for taking this Chrissy!)

As you can see Emmet was absolutely enthralled with the fair!! Thumbs up for fairs!!!

Bella and Emmet waving like mad on some rides!

Such cuties :)

I loved seeing this face all night! Haha!

Me and Wes....or me chasing after Wes!!

Oh, how I love this kid!

Wes is our comedic relief in the house and is ALWAYS dancing and being silly. Atleast every other day Ryan and I find ourselves saying "what would we do without, Wes!?" He is such a free spirit and is such a little light in our house! I'm always wanting to eat on this little guy and these are just some of the examples we love this kid so much! He has some pretty slick dance moves...here's a sample of his work.

I wanted to post another video that is cuter and longer, but he's completely naked and didn't know if that was super appropriate...though that's probably the reason I like it best! He's has the squishiest ghetto bum and it is too cute! If you want to see it I'll gladly email you! Haha!

Just another night :)

This is just a typical night in our house. They boys get rowdy when dad gets home and want to wrestle and be silly. Emmet has a new fave thing...that's play "horsey" with his dad! It's really cute to see them all laughing and playing together. (Try and ignore the mess! Eek!)

It all usually ends when Wes gets a little too brave and tries to surf on his dad's back!

This is my idea of playing...needless to say...they get bored with me quickly! Like their Halloween socks! Haha! I got them at Target that day and had to try them on the boys! They're little skull and cross-bones :)

Story time...

Now that Emmet and Weston are getting a little older they are spending more and more time playing together. Their new favorite thing to do is read together. It's so cute. They talk back and forth and ramble on and on and giggle. I hope I always remember this stage :)

Precious!

Emmet is such a cute big brother showing Weston what's what in his book.

Playing at the park

The zoo here has a really fun park with a splash area, jungle gym, toys, and LOTS of room for these crazy boys to run. This was our first trip there so we weren't prepared for the water...that's why our boys are stripped down to their skivvies! No biggie though...boys are boys :) These two had SO much fun together running around and splashing eachother! I can never decide what pics to put up so I always have a ton! Pictures are the fun part anyway, right!

Jungle Gym

I LOVE that Emmet is potty-trained...makes traveling a breeze! He looks so big in his undies! haha!

My fave pic! The boys were running frantically from the buckets of water that would fill up and fall on your head!

My cute boys! I'm a lucky girl!

Running across the bridge!

"Mama, Cheese!!"

I still can't believe how blonde this kid is!!!

Loving the Life in Tulsa!!!

This is Ryan by the way. April and I have been kicking back here in Tulsa trying to develop more street cred in our community, and have totally ignored our blogspot. So since I had some down time, I wanted to post a quick summary of what we've been up to lately. April, our boys, and myself are really loving it here in Tulsa. Before I came here for clinicals, I thought that this place would be a desert, full of cowboys with huge belt buckles. But, actually its just the opposite. It is hot here, but its more green here than my hometown in WA, and the whole town as a whole is really modernized and extremely family friendly. The hospitals here are off the hook, and I've had a blast so far "neck kicking disease" on a daily basis in my rotations. April is still looking hot as ever, and our boys are still improving their "prodigy status" on a daily basis...

Here's a pic of myself aka "The Healer with Disease Neck Kicking Abilities", and Tommy Banks aka "Mo Money Medicine". Tommy and Myself rotated together for our Family Practice Rotation. It lasted 6 weeks, and just ended last week. We had a blast fighting chronic diseases at the front line of healthcare. Tommy, actually was a 4 Year Starter for LSU's Football Team, where some analysts have him ranked as the 3rd greatest Fullback of All Time at LSU... We did our Family Practice Rotation at a Clinic here in Tulsa, and I had a blast, and my Attending was awesome! The Staff at this clinic was awesome as well! They all took me out to lunch on my last day, and I posted this pic (8x10) in their hallway that stated below it "Here Stands Two Of the Most Legendary Med Students To Ever Step Foot Into This Clinic"... hahahaha... the clinic swore that they weren't going to take it down!

Here in Tulsa, there's this sweet Aquarium that basically has every fish imaginable in it. We bought a year long membership here, because Emmet is absolutely obsessed with this place. Some days, he wakes up and keeps saying "fish, fish, fish, fish". Then when we tell him that we'll take him to go see the fish, he usually starts giggling uncontrollably and starts chest bumping Weston non-stop in celebration! This is a pic that I was lucky to catch of Emmet at the Sting Ray exhibit, where you can touch them as they pass, or in Emmet's case.... headbutt them... lol

Well... Emmet is now Potty Trained!!! Woot Woot.... Chest Bump, Chest Bump!!! So here's Emmet and Weston catching some air out on our balcony... April never cares if our boys walk out there in their underwear... but as soon as I do, she starts tossing darts at me.... What's up with that!!!

This is usually how Emmet and Weston spend their days. They are always hooked at the hip, and try to cause as much trouble as they possibly can... April and I always talk about how lucky we are that Emmet and Weston were born so close together (same year even, geeeeezzzz April and I are gross hahaha) because Emmet would have been completely bored without him. April and I love spending each and every day with these two trained assassins!!!

This pic sums up Weston for ya! But don't let the face fool you, because he has every single pressure point memorized in 10 different species of mammals, and isn't afraid to attack them. You don't believe me... just try and eat some ice cream in front of him without giving him a bite, and see what happens... I did it once, and I woke up the next day with marker written all over my face, and Weston standing above me giggling in victory... lol

Here's another pic that sums Weston up for ya. Cute little booger! When Weston knocks a television over, or throws a cup of milk all over the carpet, he usually will run to the couch, assume this position, and smile JUST LIKE THIS! Therefore he pretty much gets away with EVERYTHING!

If you are walking in a back alley, and come across these two slick individuals with their shades on... don't even try to put up a defense, because more than likely... these two assassins are going to lay the bo staff to you before you can even reach for you handy iPhone to dial for help.

This is my Smokin Hot Wife, with Weston... This pic should be on some brochure that wants to advertise for "Perfection"

Here's a pic of April looking like one of those women where you go "Dang!!!, you have two kids??"

If you wake up to find yourself in a hospital, with me standing at your bedside flashing you my "Yeah Buddy" sign, like I am in this pic.... just know that you are in good hands... lol...

Just a little update on my Med School Journey... I passed my Board Exam in May 2009 (Chest Bump, Chest Bump), and I just finished my Family Practice Rotation. My next rotation begins next Monday in Internal Medicine, which probably means many nights in the Hospital round-housing diseases in the neck region...
