Trying to get organized...

It's been a little too long since I've last blogged! The boys have been keeping me super busy, we celebrated our first Thanksgiving ALL together since having Em and Wes (crazy I know...we've spent the last two with Ryan in the Cayman Islands and me home with one of our families!), My mom and dad came for a visit, and Weston celebrated his 2nd birthday!
It was so great to have my mom and dad here...I hadn't seen them since June! Hate having to be so far away from family :( Can't wait to be close again!
Ryan also gave me an awesome Christmas present this year (which we agreed NO presents...not that I'm complaining :) A Canon REBEL! LOVE it!!! SO..while I get organized here are some fun new pics I took of the boys a little before Christmas!!! I'll be back to blogging as soon as I get it all the way I want it! Late Merry Christmas and Have a Happy New Year!!!!

Growing up :(

Where'd my baby go?
We bought Wes this toddler bed a couple months ago because he started getting out of his crib, but when I tried to put him down in it he would just scream, shake, and immediately jump out! Well, today I was washing/drying the boys bedding and he wanted to go down for a nap early...he even started falling asleep on me. So, I tried putting him in his big boy bed. He must've been super tired because he just layed down, sprawled out, and gave me a big smile (eyes half closed!)! What a sweetie :)

Uncle Evan and Sara got this elephant, "Ellie," for Wes on his 1st birthday...we don't go anywhere without it!

Doesn't he look so big :( Can't believe he'll be two in less than a month!

Happy Halloween!

This year was our boys first "official" Halloween with the costumes and trick or treating! Emmet was a scary dragon and Wes was a super cute lion. We had our friends Tommy and Chrissy over and their adorable kiddos Tag and Bella. Ryan's med school buddy Chase came over too, he's always lots of fun. Between all the boys Chrissy and I were in stitches the whole night! Haha! We had a yummy dinner (that I borrowed from Ryan's mom :)) of cheesy bread bowl soup, and baked ziti for the kids. I was pretty excited about having Halloween so of course I made way to many treats...!

Roar!

Emmet loved growling at people...he's been practicing all month :)

Let's just say Wes wasn't digging his costume! He's one that loves to be free...er naked!!

Here's some of the treats I made: Yummy punch, caramel snicker apples, mini-cupcakes, and a cheeseball (my fave)..not too mention Chrissy brought the most delicious oreo cookie balls....I stole a bunch and had them the next morning for breakfast! After that I chucked all the candy and treats (or whatever I couldn't pawn off on our guests...) because we were all so sick from all the junk!!!

All the cute trick or treaters raring to go!!! Thank goodness for the warm weather, it was such a perfect night!

Chrissy the leopard and me...Kat Von D!

The guys....no costumes...BOOOO! ;)

Ryan was feeling the Halloween vibe :)

Oh, Wes...what are we going to do with you!? He doesn't like to be apart of the pack...he wanted to run into the street and play with the Halloween decor in everyone's yards! Such a turkey!

A Ninja, Bride, Dragon, and Lion....what a group!

No one had the courage to knock on that first door! Ha! Emmet made a rookie mistake and just walked in to the people house...haha! After that though they all did great! I was so proud of Emmet he caught on so quickly and always thanked everyone after he took candy! What a pro!

Weston roaming the neighborhood...

Emmet checking out the goods!

A quick break to play :)

We were out for almost 2 hours and the boys were so tired we had to carry them home! Such a fun Halloween! Thanks for coming everyone!!

New habit???

For a couple days now I've noticed Wes sucking his thumb...kind of on and off. New habit? Not sure because he's also getting a tooth. But...I'm not going to lie I think it's pretty dang cute :) I sucked my thumb when I was little, until I was about 7! (embarrassing I know!) I'm not too worried about it though, it's probably just a little phase!

I love Weston's belly :)

Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we went to visit the pumpkin patch here in Tulsa! Another first for our boys! How I missed the fun of holidays in the U.S. while we were living in the Cayman Islands! They had a really cute set up with pumpkins, playhouses, backdrops for photos, blow up bouncy houses, and of course hay rides! We spent about 2 hours there and the boys had a ball! It was the perfect fall day...sunny and crisp! I'm pretty sure we'll be going back again soon! I LOVE the holidays!

Daddy and Emmet going to pick out a pumpkin!

It was funny Weston was trying to pick up all these HUGE pumpkins! No success :(

Em and Wes working on a car...probably one of the only pictures I got of them together! They always go off in different directions at a 100 mph!

What would a visit to the pumpkin patch be without tasting some of the pumpkins!

Silly Wes...he eats EVERYTHING!

Emmet gave the place two thumbs up!

Out of all the pumpkins this is the one that Emmet decided to take home! Haha! He was so excited about it, he even slept with it that night....and the next night! What a nut :)

What a fun afternoon with my handsome boys!

Tulsa State Fair

Last week we went to the Tulsa State Fair and had so much fun! It was both our boys first time to go to a fair (lots of firsts this year since we were living out of the country the last 2 years) and they were in awe of all the lights and crazy people! We let them in on the full experience with yummy (bad for you...but oh so good) food and rides! Emmet was a little leery of getting on his first ride, but thankfully we ran into our good friends and their little Bella was such a sweetheart to ride with him! After that he was hooked and would've stayed their ALL night riding if we would have let him! Poor Wes was too small to go on any rides but he had a blast running around looking at all the different gaming booths and rides. I have to say this was the most fun I've had at a fair in a while. I'm not really into rides anymore...I usually just end up with a headache (sad..I'm getting old!)! But seeing the sheer joy on Emmet's face looking at everything and riding on rides made both Ryan and I's night! Oh, to be a kid again!

Our family at the fair (Thanks for taking this Chrissy!)

As you can see Emmet was absolutely enthralled with the fair!! Thumbs up for fairs!!!

Bella and Emmet waving like mad on some rides!

Such cuties :)

I loved seeing this face all night! Haha!

Me and Wes....or me chasing after Wes!!

Oh, how I love this kid!

Wes is our comedic relief in the house and is ALWAYS dancing and being silly. Atleast every other day Ryan and I find ourselves saying "what would we do without, Wes!?" He is such a free spirit and is such a little light in our house! I'm always wanting to eat on this little guy and these are just some of the examples we love this kid so much! He has some pretty slick dance moves...here's a sample of his work.

I wanted to post another video that is cuter and longer, but he's completely naked and didn't know if that was super appropriate...though that's probably the reason I like it best! He's has the squishiest ghetto bum and it is too cute! If you want to see it I'll gladly email you! Haha!
